About Jordan Michael New
The son of a pair of Oregon Ducks, Mr. New was born and raised in the Portland metropolitan area. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.
Mr. New then attended the University of Oregon School of Law to obtain his law degree. There he was invited to be a member of the Oregon Law Review and Oregon Moot Court Board, and held elected positions in both organizations. He also served as a professor’s assistant for the law school’s negotiation and dispute resolution course and clerked in the Trial Division of the Oregon Department of Justice.
Following law school, Mr. New began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in Multnomah County. During this time he gained extensive trial experience, handling misdemeanor and felony cases, including taking approximately fifty to trial. In addition, he handled hundreds of DUI and reckless driving cases that did not go to trial.
Mr. New then accepted a position at a Portland medical malpractice firm, where he handled complex personal injury cases for 3 ½ years. There he gained further trial experience, honed his legal research and writing skills, and developed medical knowledge regarding a wide array of conditions and procedures.
